Meet the Parents

We believe that responsible breeding starts with exceptional parent dogs. Our Miniature and Toy Australian Shepherd parents have been carefully selected for their health, temperament, and conformation to breed standards. Every parent dog in our program is loved, well-cared for, and regularly checked by our trusted veterinarian to ensure they are in excellent health before breeding.


Our breeding dogs exhibit the best traits of the Australian Shepherd breed, including intelligence, loyalty, agility, and affectionate personalities. Each parent dog plays a significant role in producing well-rounded, loving, and healthy puppies that will grow up to be outstanding companions.

At Ledbetter Aussie Farm

We take the health of our dogs seriously. Each of our parent dogs undergoes genetic testing to screen for common hereditary conditions found in Australian Shepherds, such as MDR1 sensitivity, hip dysplasia, and eye disorders. By taking these precautionary measures, we ensure that our puppies have the best chance at a long, healthy life with their future families.


Our commitment to genetic testing ensures that we only breed dogs with strong, healthy lines, reducing the risk of passing on genetic diseases. This approach not only benefits our puppies but also provides peace of mind to future puppy owners.

Each of our sires (male breeding dogs) and dams (female breeding dogs) has been chosen for their physical attributes, gentle temperament, and outstanding lineage. Our Australian Shepherds come in a variety of beautiful coat colors, including Blue Merle, Red Merle, Red Tri, and Black & White Tri.


Our studs are well-built, athletic, and have excellent conformation. They contribute not only to the beauty of our puppies but also to their intelligence and temperament. Our dams are nurturing and affectionate mothers who provide their litters with love and guidance in their early weeks of life. They pass on their calm yet playful nature, making their puppies ideal for families.

Our parent dogs are raised in a family environment where they are exposed to different sounds, people, and situations. This helps them develop well-balanced temperaments, which they pass on to their puppies. We believe that socialization starts early, ensuring that our dogs are confident, friendly, and adaptable.
